It's been over 2 years since my last blog entry - time really does fly!
I started this blog to keep in touch with friends after the reunion, yes admittedly a lazy method hoping to keep in touch with everyone through one entry! Unfortunately even that got difficult to keep up.
It's really been busy after my last entry (and if you read it, it may sound like we never made it to Broome, but we did.
Just a quick catch up then, so many things good and bad.
- Yes we did make it to Broome and one day I'll post the photos and videos of driving across flooded creeks in the Gascoyne and the Pilbara;
- David Hanna and Harriet Mantell spent 10 days holidays with us driving all over the Kimberley
- Business grew and grew, but like many businesses in Australia in the last 2 years, the "interesting" thing was to find good staff at uninflated values.
- James Alexander passed away on his birthday, just over a year ago.
- House renovation plans went from plan A (architect designed and approaching $800,000 before we pulled the plug) to plan D3 - something Amanda designed and about to start.
- Many trips to Sydney, Melbourne and Broome (as well as my usual work trips around WA)
- Sydney Peace Prize 2008 for the great Mr Pat Dodson - also attended by Kim & Kim Ivey and Dave & Harriet amongst the Goolarri Media crowd
- Caught up with Bill & Caroline
- Kim & Kim spent time in Broome with Pat and the Kimberley Institute as well as Goolarri, and we all had a great "down time" at Mid-Lagoon
- Cyclone Billy (just missed on the last plane out of Broome)
- Invited to Facebook and found many more friends
Which is where we are and why this has restarted.
Okay, maybe less ambitiously this time rather than the attempted every week.
